The European Boxwood and Topiary Society is a not-for-profit organisation with an annual paid membership.
The Society was formed in 1996 to bring together enthusiastic gardeners, botanists, growers, garden designers, landscape Architects and garden historians, with the object of introducing new species and cultivars of boxwood, of improving its cultivation and maintenance and exploring topiary as an art form.
Its aim is to increase the knowledge, appreciation and the science of boxwood and topiary and to make available up-to-date information on these aspects worldwide.
EBTS now has a revitalised committee with many new and talented members. We are a European body, and in many ways an international one. Potentially, we have huge access, outreach, purpose and influence globally. Amongst our members we have garden historians, writers, designers, scientists, nurserymen, great garden owners and professionals, as well as the many fine amateur gardeners who are the backbone of the whole culture of gardens. |
